Chil’s Point of View….

3rd March: site down – GoDaddy.com is good at issuing domain names. GoDaddy.com is NOT good at taking care of its hosting customers. Therefore, GoDaddy.com is NOT going to be my hosting provider anymore.

9th March: New hosting account – I am giving WebHost4Life.com a shot. They have Windows Hosting, and provide PHP support. I can take advantage of the PHP scripts out there, and can play with ASP.NET stuff too. GoDaddy don’t want to play that game any more.

11th March: Blog restored. Photo album is still fudged up! Since I have frequently kept backups of my blog, it was the first one to be up!!!!! It has been resored!!!!
For the photo album, I am still playing with it and trying to figure out which image gallery to use. Maybe that will be my next weekend project.

12th March – hoping to repoint domain today

PS – Never use GoDaddy for your hosting. They will break your site without notice, and the support people will not believe that your site was working before they broke it.

GoDaddy support : “Sir. I don’t see how that would have ever worked even before your site migration.”

Chilumba : “Uhmmm. For the last 1 and half years, it has worked! See the logs and determines which files had the most hits!!!!!!”

I never had problems with them in the past. But maybe they are on a cost saving move and usually means a drop in quality.
