Victoria Falls Zambia -
Saturday afternoon after arriving in Livingstone, we started our tour. Off to the Victoria Falls!!!!
Magnificent views of the Victoria falls. Even Godwell Khosa would have to agree that Victoria Falls Zambia has amazing views better than on the Zimbabwean side. We took lots of pictures, and traversed the high adrenaline foot paths and narrow foot bridge (knife Edge Bridge) to get even better views.

Evening Pontoon Boat Cruise -
Later that evening after seeing the Victoria falls, we went on cruise on the river Zambezi (Zambia got its name from this river). The Taonga (name of the boat and company offering the cruise) was a large double-decker pontoon boat which also has the booze cruises, the most popular being the all-you-can-drink sunset cruise complete with on-board barbecue. This was the cruise we jumped on. They stuck to their word and offered an open bar and BBQ. It was funny seeing many people getting drunk and staggering by the time the 3 hour cruise was ending. But it was loads of fun, and I would definitely recommend it.
At their launch site is a rustic bar and small restaurant featuring nightly barbecues, spit-roast pig. Nelly took a few pictures of the pig roasting.

Brunch at the Royal Livingstone -
Sunday morning just before heading back to Lusaka, we decided to have a heavy breakfast at the beautiful Royal Livingstone – a luxury overpriced 5 star hotel. If you want a classy luxury hotel, then this will be the place for you. But if you want to experience Livingstone and save some money, then you can definitely check out other options in town. Sunday brunch costs about $25 a person. I think this is overpriced and excludes many locals, but I guess that would be the price of luxury.

Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi oa Tunya (The Smoke That Thunders) by the “Zimbabwean” locals who ‘discovered’ the Falls before Livingstone ‘discovered’ them and named them for Queen Vicotoria. Since I was called out, I have no choice but to say something and disagree. Do they have a Zambian name for the falls? I didnt think so. Besides, the Falls look more magnificent from the Zimbabwe side. The situation in Zim leaves much to be desired… but if you do go to ‘Zambia’, be sure to cross over to the Zimbabwean side, and go check out the ‘Rain Forest.’ Chui- is the livingstone statue on the Zambian side or Zimbabwean side. Zimbabwe- hmm, I wonder why. (not that I like it) But I am sure its there for a reason.
