Quick Trip to DC

Nelly and I made a quick trip to the Washington DC area last weekend. We covered DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The trip started off the day of the foiled London attempted plane bombings – or the day liquids were no longer allowed on carryon bags. As a result, we were forced to check-in bags – since we had liquids in them (toothpaste, lotion, lip balm, deodorant, perfume…).
Because of the news, all airports were busy, and a whole bunch of flights delayed. Our plane out of Seattle was late which immediately meant missing the connection flight from Las Vegas to Baltimore. The airline put us in a Vegas hotel (called Terribles) . Next day we managed to get onto a 6 AM flight to Pheonix, where we picked up yet another connection flight to Dulles (instead of Baltimore).
We eventually got there…
It was nice catching up with Babes Marasi Eddy and many other people we have not seen for a while.
Saturday, the gang decided to go on a ‘Speed Boat’ afternoon in Annapolis (pictures located here). This was a fun event, and had many comical episodes. The people on the trip would not what I mean.
