Summer is here

EXERCISE IN THE MORNING
Nelly and I went for a jog/run at ‘Grass Lawn Park’ in Redmond. We ran both on the trail and across the soccer track. It felt pretty good running around, and admiring the beauty of the eastside – Memoirs of Pro-club bootcamp. It was a light-weight workout and not like what Lisa Mikey is going through right now.
Aching muscles? I guess we will pay for it with sore legs in the morning.
CLEAN MY CAR AT NOON
We wash our cars fairly often. But the tires on my car are always a pain. It was nice out today, and I had another excuse to stay out-side a little bit longer. Plus I was recovering from my world cup predictions gone wrong.
I bought a tire-cleaner which did an amazing job and loosening the accumulated road junk. The clean took less than 30 mins. Yes, Nelly got a picture of me doing work on the car.
BBQ IN FEDERAL WAY IN THE AFTERNOON
We went for a BBQ/get-together at Hankie and Malai’s place in Federal Way, WA. It was a fun afternoon with losts-of-food-and-drink. I got to grow my network of Zambians in the Seattle area as I met many new people. I met people who had once worked in the same company as my Dad many years ago in Zambia. The theme seems to be that my dad was one of the ‘LIKED’ executives at the company. It is a really small world.
LONG DAY- ABOUT TO GET KNOCKED OUT
This was a real ‘Summer is here’ day – with outdoor activities, and traditional summer activity – BBQ.

Hey, too bad you weren’t running at Grasslawn this morning (July 3). You would have seen Marta and I doing our bootcamp thing. Can’t say the same for Godwell though…
