Chil’s Point of View….

Just a quick note –  

I have had a pretty heavy work load the last few weeks. I had a group Financial Analysis Project due Monday, and another Team Presentation due on Tuesday, and a final exam coming up on Friday evening. My stress levels have slowly been increasing  as I have been doing yet another balancing act -  preparing to finish up classes for the quarter, getting done with all the assignments, doing my day job, and preparing for a trip out of the country. I think I have really been stretched the last few weeks.

The weird part though is the fact that I like it when I am busy. It makes it easy to know what I need to be doing. I am not talking about procrastination caused busyness, but if you have tasks which need to be done, and they really need to be done, then a daily bullet point list of items to do works. Godwell had once shared an excel spreadsheet for tracking daily TODO items. Keep the item list current and make sure to put items you did not get to on the previous day on top of the list for the current day. Also make sure that you don’t keep pushing, to the bottom of the list, the tasks you really don’t want to do. This has been working for me, and has made it so that I don’t loose track of things I am accountable for.

With all these things going on, my blog postings frequency to the site have gone down. I think this is exactly what Lisa Mikey is going through as Harvard throws some PHD hurdles at him.

I am now heading back for another round of studying. FUN. FUN. FUN. The next few days are not going to be easy. Wish me luck.
